Since I was in kindergarten, I’ve always dreamed of finding a way to share my love of learning with other people. From talking neighbors’ ears off at my lemonade stand to researching how to start a babysitting company in hopes of becoming a “tutoring babysitter”, I certainly had plenty of ideas - so many that I couldn’t choose among them!

In 6th grade, I began sharing my passion for history and culture by writing short stories which received several international awards. Since age 7, I’ve channeled my love for singing and acting into performing classical, musical theater, and contemporary pieces in Latin, Italian, German, Spanish, French and English. To date, I have performed at recitals, weddings, local theater productions, church services, and multiple vocal competitions, which led to regional and North American accolades.

In November 2021, one single event changed everything. One of my favorite charitable foundations announced it would be awarding American history scholarships to kids! Applicants were asked to submit a video showcasing their love of American history, knowledge of historical events, and ideas to spread their passion. This sounded like the perfect project for me, so I got started right away!

​

I came up with a concept to create and distribute educational content with a family-friendly focus and fun twists (sounds like Bluestocking!), filmed a video in my backyard (literally), and sent it off to the nonprofit.

​

A month later, I received a phone call. I had been granted an American Hero scholarship by the Rush and Kathryn Adams Limbaugh Family Foundation! I was both honored and thrilled. I quickly began thinking of creative ways to use my scholarship to help others find joy in learning.

​

In my spare time over the next 10 months (January-October 2022), I purchased a new tablet, pieced together a mini filming set in the corner of our family room, learned four new software programs, enrolled in a filmmaking class at my local community theater, and bought a slew of wigs on Amazon. Finally, in late October 2022, I launched Bluestocking!

​

October 27, 2023 marked the 1 year anniversary of Bluestocking. Today, I continue to divide my time between school, vocal training, and content creation for Bluestocking. Every day, I’m motivated and inspired by a growing community of fun-loving learners joining me on my journey. I truly believe that the sky’s the limit! 👓
